MORRISVILLE, N.C., September 1st, 2022 — Nuovo, a contract design and development, and manufacturing firm specializing in medical and drug delivery devices, has announced the opening of a new Design Center in Athlone, Ireland.
The new location serves as the company’s fourth Design Center, adding a European presence to Nuovo’s existing locations in the United States.
Ireland is rich with culture and is considered to be a gateway to Europe for many US businesses. Athlone will give Nuovo greater access to the European market while allowing them to join a community that has proven to be successful within the MedTech industry. Located in the heart of Ireland, the new Design Center’s location will allow Nuovo to conveniently support clients from Galway to Dublin and everywhere in between. The Ireland Design Center will provide the same high level of engineering expertise that Nuovo is known for, with a strong focus on device design and product development.
“It will be great for Nuovo to have a physical presence in Europe, as we already have such a globally focused business,” shares Megan Conley, Senior Product Development Engineer for Nuovo who will be the Site Lead for the Athlone office. “On a personal note, I’m looking forward to immersing myself in the culture of the Midlands and learning more about Medical Device and Pharmaceutical advances in this area.” Megan joined the Nuovo team in 2019, working at the company’s headquarters in Morrisville, North Carolina. She relocated to Athlone this year to oversee the opening of the new Design Center.
